Statement of Faith

What We Believe at Keystone Ministries:

  1. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is a revelation from God to man of His character, nature, and will. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Hebrews 4:12)
  2. There is one true God, triune in nature, comprised of three separate and distinct personalities, the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit, existing as one, singular Entity, perfect, holy and eternal. (John 1:1-5, 10-14; Matthew 28:18-20)
  3. Man was created good, upright and holy, but because of Adam’s transgression against God, the sin nature and spiritual death have been passed on to all humanity. Man’s only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21; John 3:3, 16)
  4. Salvation and redemption only come through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Man can only receive this salvation and redemption through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Romans 3:24; John 3:3, 16; Romans 10:8-10; Ephesians 2:8)
  5. All Christians are entitled to, and should earnestly seek, the Promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-5; Acts 2:38). With this Baptism comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowment of the Gifts of the Spirit and their uses in the work of the ministry (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11). This wonderful experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. (Acts 2:38; 10:44-46; 11:14-16). The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance. (Acts 2:4)
  6. Divine healing is provided through the sacrificial work of Jesus Christ and is appropriated by faith in Jesus and the work He has completed. (1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:16-17; Isaiah 53:4-5)
  7. The true Church is comprised of everyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Each member of the Church has a specific and unique call of God for service and ministry to the body of Christ and for reaching the lost. Each believer is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Ephesians 1:17-23; 2:19-22; 4:7-12; 1 Corinthians 12:12-28; Revelation 18:8; 20:15).
  8. There shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection unto life (1 Corinthians 15:20-230; for the latter, a resurrection unto judgment. (John 5:28-29).
  9. The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is imminent (Hebrews 10:37) and will be personal, visible, and premillennial (Luke 21:27). This is the believer’s blessed hope and is a vital truth which is an incentive to holy living and faithful service (Titus 211-14).
  10. God created marriage. It is a covenant made between a man and a woman that makes them one (Gen 2: 22, 24; Matt 19: 5-6).
